Maybe God thought on the first day, before creating light. Ok, die-hard God-fans out there may contest this and say the moment the thought was created in God's mind, the thought became real. Whatever. My point is that each action is born in thought, even if it is but a mini-milli-sub-atomic second.
I tend to think of Sunday as the first day. It may be a day of rest, but it is also a day of reflection. Each Sunday, I get to reflect about life and about reflecting about life. Which is why I thought I should start writing, again.
So, I agonized about what this blog's title should be. And like some good things, it just happened when I least expected it. While chatting with a friend, I asked this question. And so here we are.
What can I say? It is a reflective question I ask myself.
For now, let me say it is good to have a good deed done each day.
Today, while on our way home, driving, we saw an SUV turn into the street we were on. I saw a pair of shoes on top of the vehicle. Obviously, the owner forgot about it. I decided to catch up to them and let them know about the shoes. When one shoe fell off, I stopped to pick it up and sped up to catch the SUV. I honked my horn and flashed the headlights to get their attention. When they did and slowed down, I went to their side, rolled down my window and gave them the shoe, telling them the other one is still on their roof. Then I drove off.
It felt good saving someone the trouble to agonize over lost shoes. And feeling good is what one gets from a good deed done.
Hmmm... come to think of it, God said, when he finished what he started, "It is good.". And it is... still a wonderful world. And I'm just continuing a timeless tradition. Cheers!
